my gem characters exist in a au after a second rebellion takes place in which yellow diamond was shattered and fusion was completely banned
Fluorite is technically a era 2 healer gem but he was planted in the ground before yellow diamond was shattered but emerged after she was shattered. Fluorite was created as part of yellow diamond's experiment to create a super strong non-fusion gem but it didn't work as expected what's known is that the fluorites were planted with different composition only two sharing the same composition. Most emerged as monsters similar to the forced fusions but with a urge to shatter and consume other gems some fluorites emerged properly but because of the rebellion no one was in the kindergarten to clear out the mistakes and most were shattered. Fluorite was lucky and when he emerged only one was around and he managed to retreat into his hole and the monster caused a cave in that kept them out until a "clean up crew" came to reclaim the resources from the fluorite mistakes and to continue to use the kindergarten for other gems, and they found him and brought him back to home world. though fluorite wasn't a fighter like he was intended to be he was still considered a success as he was a powerful healer. He was taken in under white diamonds court and healed the soldiers that were injured during training. Fluorite wasn't really loyal to the diamonds but he still did his job, until he learned about fusion and left to the rebellion. This design is from before the rebellion.
